UNIONTOWN, OH--ChemSpec is excited to welcome a new member to our team. Marie Graët is now the Sales & Marketing Manager for our newly formed Cosmetics Division!

Marie has extensive experience in cosmetics chemistry and marketing of cosmetics additives/ingredients. She studied at two different chemical engineering schools in the Paris, France area, and is a degreed chemical engineer—with a specialty in cosmetic science.

In addition to her formal education, Marie has substantial experience in working with cosmetics ingredients in support of cosmetics commercial manufacturing. Upon graduation from college, she worked at L’Oréal in Paris as a research engineer. Since then, and over the course of the past 6 years, Marie has worked in the sales and marketing of cosmetics ingredients. For 4 of the last 6 years, she was a Sales Engineer and Product Manager in the Cosmetics Division of Safic Alcan Group in Paris, which is now ChemSpec’s parent company.

During her time as a Safic Product Manager, she managed varying matters such as strategic positioning of the ingredients all the way to participating in the development of the customers’ finished products.

Marie grew up in a small countryside village in the East of France, but enjoys living amongst the city lights, as she has lived in Paris, France for the past 10 years, and now lives in Manhattan, with her husband. Marie likes new challenges and enjoys traveling, so she feels this job is a perfect combination of her interests.
