SUMMARY:

ChemSpec is a privately-held, growing specialty chemicals, additives and polymer distributor for both industrial and cosmetic manufacturing segments.  We are presently looking for a person to work in our Customer Service Department. ChemSpec continues to expand its North American presence and customer base, so it requires the support of an additional, motivated employee to help manage this growth.

LOCATION:

The candidate will work out of ChemSpec’s headquarters in Uniontown (Green), Ohio.

ABOUT THE JOB:
A candidate who takes-on this position will find themselves in a role that will vary day-to-day, working with different people throughout the company. The person will be supporting several different facets of our Customer Service Department. The person will work hand-in-hand with ChemSpec sales representatives and customer contacts. The person will also spend some amount of time on supply chain oriented matters, such has arranging shipments with warehouses.
Some examples of the types of work a candidate will do:

·       Processing customer sales orders and communicating with customers;

·       Checking and creating documents such as bills of lading and invoices;

·       Answering phones, sorting mail, and greeting visitors;

·       Filing and organizing various documents;

·       Working closely with and Inputting information into our electronic business software;

·       Creating basic reports in Microsoft Office and Excel, and communicating said reports to various co-workers/supervisors; and

·       Undertaking inventory reconciliations

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

·       Someone who has, at a minimum, a high school diploma (or equivalent).

·       A person with some office experience, especially someone who has done similar things as above-described.

·       A candidate should be someone who enjoys working in an office environment with a team of great people.  ChemSpec believes in family and a team mindset so being thoughtful, kind and a good communicator is a must.

·       The person must be detail-focused and able to concentrate while looking closely at various documents and spreadsheets.

Paul brings nearly 20 years of chemical industry experience to ChemSpec, with a background in business and chemistry/biology. His experience ranges from rubber, CASE, and surface finishing. Paul currently lives in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife and daughter. In his free time he enjoys to travel, learning about WWII history, photography, animals, and spending time with his daughter on horseback.  ChemSpec President, Dave Moreland states, “We are very excited to have Paul on board. Mild Hand Wash

It is the basic mild hand wash that will follow you everywhere! It contains multifunctional glycols Activonol-6 and Activonol-8, and has antimicrobial efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus (99.9%), it is perfect for sensitive skin.

Activonol-6 and Activonol-8 are non-irritant multifunctional antimicrobial actives and can be used as preservative boosters/alternatives in mild formulations.

Sulfate-Free Cleaning Foam

This is the fancy hand wash! It contains mild surfactants Green CAPB-B and Green Cocoamphoacetate-B, natural texturizing active AlphaShield and Babaçu Oil, and has antimicrobial efficacy.

This foam is enriched with AlphaShield, a natural, biodegradable and sustainable active that has anti-irritant and antimicrobial properties.

Green CAPB-B and Green Cocoamphoacetate-B work in synergy to provide a deep but gentle cleaning with creamy foam, without leaving the skin dry.

Babaçu Oil gives the final touch and leaves the skin extra soft, smoothed, and moisturized.

Defense & Lipid Replacement Cream

Lipwax NPZ-1 – High Performance Wax with 30% Natural Content for Lipsticks and Pencils

This is a mixture of linear and high MW Fischer-Tropsch Wax, a branched copolymer Polyethylene/Polypropylene and 30% of highly refined carnauba wax. The linear Fischer-Tropsch Wax creates a thin crystal network to bring hardness but soft spreading and the branched copolymer is dispersed into the oil matrix and increases the MW and therefore reduces exudation. The very precise MW of both polymers allows controlling phase change transition. It is designed for lipsticks and pencils.

Rice Powder BF – Sticky Rice Powder for Foundations, Powders, Matte Lipstick

Not like any other rice powder, Rice Powder BF is a micronized sticky rice powder. It is naturally rich in amylopectin. This powder is water and oil resistant but not absorbent which prevents dryness and cracking. It also provides a matte finish. It can be used in pressed and loose powders, foundations and matte lipsticks.

What is trendier than recycling? Upcycling! Paradisyl is produced through an innovation aqueous enzymatic extraction process with co-products from the food industry. Pomelo is naturally rich in polyphenols, polysaccharides, didymin, and naringin, natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents. In-vitro study have shown that it reduces the levels of pro-inflammatory mediators IL-6 and IL-8, inhibits collagenase and reduces the level of free radicals when the cells are exposed to an oxidative stress. A clinical test showed that at 2%, Paradisyl reduces redness after inflammation by 50% vs. placebo.

CHEMSPEC NOW EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR OF HIMADRI CARBON BLACKS

UNIONTOWN, OH (September 13, 2019)— CHEMSPEC, LTD announces an exclusive distribution agreement with HIMADRI SPECIALITY CHEMICAL. CHEMSPEC will distribute HIMADRI’s ASTM and specialty carbon black products into the U.S. and Canadian tire markets and the U.S. rubber market. 

HIMADRI, headquartered in Kolkata, India, is the only integrated carbon black producer giving it highly consistent feedstock for its range of ASTM and specialty carbon blacks.  HIMADRI offers a full portfolio of quality carbon blacks including its KLAREX “clean” specialty carbon blacks designed for more demanding rubber applications.  This portfolio will be supported by HIMADRI’s announced expansion that will add an additional 60,000 MT of capacity.  Further, HIMADRI ensures overall sustainability, health and safety, and environmental protection as key priorities in its production processes. It is both ISO 9001 and 14001 certified and is already approved as a supplier to many international elastomer and tire producers.
